Global template library
Templates turn a good diagram into a reusable starting point. A global template is available in every space, which is what makes standardisation stick.
The important word is starting: inserting a template copies it, so the new diagram is independent and freely editable.

Rolling out a house style for architecture or process diagrams.
Giving people a correct starting point instead of a blank canvas.
Capturing a diagram somebody drew well so others can reuse it.

#A few things that catch people out
Changing a template never changes diagrams already created from it. That is deliberate.
A new template will not appear instantly; indexing takes a few minutes.
