Install Capable Diagrams
Capable Diagrams installs from the Atlassian Marketplace like any other Confluence app. Nothing to host, nothing to configure first.
#Two ways to get it
Option | Best when |
|---|---|
Diagrams on its own | Diagrams are the only thing you need. |
Capable for Confluence | The full suite. Diagrams is included, and one app is easier to administer than eight. See Plans and pricing. |
#Installing it
As a Confluence administrator, open Apps, Find new apps and search for Capable Diagrams.
Click Get it now and approve the permissions. A free trial starts automatically and nothing is charged until it ends.
Open any page you can edit and type /diagram. The macro should appear in the list.
Nothing needs configuring before first use. Space settings exist for when you want to standardise defaults across a team, not to get going. See Administration.
#Updates and uninstalling
Updates arrive automatically. Uninstalling stops the app working but does not delete your diagrams: the source stays as custom content in your site, so reinstalling brings them back.
#A few things that catch people out
You need to be a Confluence administrator to install.
Do not run the standalone app and the suite together. Pick one.
Existing diagrams from another app do not migrate automatically. See Migrate to Capable Diagrams.
