Diagram editor will not open
The editors are large browser applications, and the two things that break them are stale cached assets and browser extensions that block scripts.
A hard reload fixes most of it. If it does not, try a private window, which rules out both extensions and cache in one step.
#What you are seeing
The editor spinner never finishes.
The editor opens blank or half-drawn.
The editor reloads itself and loses unsaved changes.

#A few things that catch people out
Saving is manual. If the editor reloads before you save, look for a draft snapshot before redrawing anything.
An editor that opens for one person and not another on the same page usually points at the browser, not the diagram.
If it fails in a private window, on a current browser, on a normal network, that is worth reporting.
