Export a Confluence diagram as PNG or SVG
To export a Capable diagram from Confluence as PNG or SVG, hover over it on the page and select Maximize, then select the download button and choose PNG or SVG. Choose Source for the diagram's own source file. For a quick copy, the Download diagram button on the page toolbar saves an SVG straight away.
#Before you start
You only need to be able to view the diagram.
Pick the format: SVG stays sharp at any size and keeps text as text; PNG goes anywhere that wants a plain image.
#Steps
Hover over the diagram on the page.
Select Maximize to open it full screen.
Select the download button, next to the share button at the top right.
Choose SVG, PNG or Source.
Save the file where you need it.
#What happens next
The file is a snapshot. It does not change when the diagram does, so export again after edits.
The page toolbar's Download diagram button gives an SVG for most languages, and a PNG for draw.io, where it reads Download diagram as PNG. It is not offered for Excalidraw, BPMN or DMN; use the full-screen view for those.
#If it does not work
If only Source is listed, the picture could not be prepared at that moment. Reload the page and try again.
To get diagrams into a PDF or Word export of the whole page, see Diagrams in PDF and Word exports.
