Template indexing delay
The diagram browser features, such as the templates available within the system, can sometimes take a noticeable amount of time before they reflect new diagram templates that have been added. This delay occurs because the Confluence index, which is responsible for updating and managing content visibility, requires some time to process and update the new templates.
In particular, when you create a new diagram template, it may take up to five minutes before it becomes visible to other users within the system. The exact duration of this delay can vary significantly. At times, the new template may appear almost instantly, while on other occasions, it might take several minutes to become accessible. This variability is largely dependent on Atlassian’s indexing infrastructure, which operates behind the scenes and is beyond our direct control.
However, it is important to note that any changes made on your own machine are reflected immediately. This means that when you update or add diagram templates locally, you will see those changes without any delay, even though other users might experience a waiting period before they can access the new templates.
