Disable a diagram language in Confluence
To disable a diagram language in Confluence, a Confluence administrator opens the Capable app's settings, selects the Diagrams tab and switches the language off under Available diagram libraries, then selects Save. The language disappears from the picker, the byline search and the templates on offer, but diagrams already on pages keep rendering.
#Before you start
You are a Confluence administrator.
Agree the list first. The setting applies to the whole site, and saving writes the whole list, so two administrators editing at once can overwrite each other.
#Steps
Open Confluence administration.
Open the app's settings page: Capable, or Capable Diagrams if you use the standalone app.
Select the Diagrams tab.
Under Available diagram libraries, switch off the languages you do not want, or pick a preset such as Minimal, Standard or Complete.
Select Save.
#What happens next
The language is no longer offered when people insert a diagram, in the byline search, or among templates and examples.
Diagrams already drawn in it keep rendering and can still be opened.
Turning draw.io off also turns off Visio import, because imports open in the draw.io editor.
#If it does not work
The message Unsaved changes. Save to apply them for everyone on this site. means you have not saved yet.
A language you want is missing even though you never turned it off: TikZ is off by default. See Enable TikZ.
