What you are seeing

A very date-heavy page does not turn up in a date search, or is missing dates from the search index.

#Why it happens

Only the first 200 distinct dates on a page are written to the index.

Split very long date-heavy pages, or use a calendar's page sources (which read pages live) rather than the date search.

Setting	Where	What it does
Base Timezone	Calendar Configuration panel	"Set the timezone by which events are co-ordinated. Note that events are shown in the timezone of the user viewing the calendar." In practice it pre-fills the event create/edit form only. The grid always draws events in
Pages from search	Calendar Configuration panel → Pages	"Search for pages to include". Every page the search returns is scanned for dates. Filters and limit are disabled until the toggle is on.
Result Limit	Calendar Configuration panel → Pages from search	How many pages the search source returns and therefore scans for dates.

Limit	Value	What happens
Pages from search source	-	Dates on pages beyond the limit simply do not appear, with no warning.
Date search index	-	First date, last date and the mentioned-user list are always recorded; only the list of individual dates is capped.
Indexed date search results	-	Also skipped entirely until the calendar has reported a real visible date range.

That app deliberately hides the Indexing tab, even though the content indexing still runs.
