Something is missing or looks wrong
Start from what you are seeing rather than from what you think is broken. Each page below names the symptom, explains why it happens, and says what to do about it.
Several of these are the product working as designed, which is worth knowing before anybody raises a ticket.

Signed-out visitor sees a calendar that looks complete but is missing events | Saved calendar events are never loaded for signed-out readers; only dates on the page itself are shown. The "Recently viewed" and "Pages where mentioned" sources also show nothing for them, and "assigned to me" is unavailable. |
Calendar byline does not appear on a page that clearly has dates (Suite) | In the Suite the byline only shows on pages already indexed as carrying a date, or in a space set to Always. A page whose dates were just added can take a little while to catch up. The standalone app has no such check, so the two products can differ on the same page. |
Very date-heavy page does not turn up in a date search, or is missing dates from the search index | Only the first 200 different dates on a page are added to the search index. |
Indexing tab is missing from settings in the standalone Capable Calendar app | That app deliberately hides the Indexing tab, but indexing still runs in the background. |
