Fix events missing from a Confluence calendar

When events are missing from a Confluence calendar, check four things in order: whether a filter is on, whether you are looking at the right period, whether the macro's Event types include that kind of date, and whether you are signed in. Dates on a page also need words on the same line to become an event.

#Before you start

  • You need edit rights on the page to change the macro's settings. Anyone can clear a filter or change the period.

#Steps

  1. If the filter bar under the toolbar is open, empty Search events by title... and clear any selected tags.

  2. If the calendar says No events in this period, select the Go to button it offers to jump to the nearest event.

  3. Edit the page and open the Calendar macro. Under Event types, make sure Capable Event macros, Confluence Date macros and In-Calendar Events are shown as you expect.

  4. Look under Hidden on-page events in the same panel and remove any date that should show.

  5. A date chip on a line by itself is left off. Add some words on the same line, or use the Event (Capable) macro.

  6. If you see Showing dates from this page, sign in. Saved calendar events only load for signed-in readers.

#If it still does not show

The date is somewhere. This finds it.
