Repeating meeting in my subscribed calendar app only appears once

What you are seeing

You have subscribed to a Capable calendar in your calendar app, and a meeting that should repeat only appears once.

#Why it happens

Capable Calendar doesn't support repeating events, so the subscription feed only ever sends single events. Your calendar app has no repeat pattern to follow.

The same applies when you import an .ics file. Any repeating event in it is kept as its first occurrence only.

#What to do

  • Create each occurrence as its own event, with its own start and end dates.

  • If the meeting came from an .ics file, re-import the .ics to bring in the later occurrences.
