Turn Capable Calendar on or off for a Confluence space
To turn Capable Calendar on or off for a Confluence space, open Space settings, then Capable, and find Calendar in the Capabilities list. Choose Auto to show it only where pages have dates, Always to show it on every page, or Never to hide it in that space. The change saves straight away.
#Before you start
You need to be a space administrator. Others see You must be a Space Admin to change these settings.
In the standalone app, the space settings entry is Capable Calendar.
#Steps
In the space, open Space settings, then Capable. Space Capability Settings opens.
In the Capabilities card, find Calendar.
Select Auto (show when relevant), Always (always show) or Never (never show). You see Settings saved.
#What happens next
The setting decides whether the Calendar byline item appears on pages in the space. With Auto, it appears only on pages where Capable has found dates. With Never, Calendar is hidden in that space. Calendar macros already on pages keep working.
#A few things that catch people out
There is no Calendar tab in space settings. This list is the only space-level control.
