Site published fine but some attachments are missing, showing "Attachment not available"

What you are seeing

Your site published without any errors, but some attachments show "Attachment not available" instead of the file.

#Why it happens

Sites leaves an attachment out when one of these is true:

  • The file is larger than 20 MB.

  • The site has reached its 1 GB storage limit.

  • The file type is not one that Sites can publish.

Reaching the storage limit does not stop the publish. The rest of the site goes live as usual, and only the files that did not fit are missing.

#What to do

  1. Open the site's deploy log and look for lines marked "Skipped". Only site admins can see the deploy log.

  2. For each skipped file, make it smaller, remove it if you no longer need it, or convert it to a supported format.

  3. Publish the site again so the updated files are included.
