Publishing happens in two deliberate stages. Update builds a staging preview, and Promote makes that preview live. Every Confluence edit needs both stages again, because nothing publishes automatically.

Both stages live in the Deployment card on your site's Overview. Update builds Staging, Promote sends it to Production, and Export gives you a zip instead.
