Sign everyone out of a protected site
To sign everyone out of a protected Confluence site, a Confluence admin opens the site's Settings, chooses Access and selects Sign everyone out under Sessions, then confirms. Every visitor's session ends at once, on the live site and on staging previews, and they must sign in again. Nothing else about the site changes, and no deploy is needed.
#Before you start
You need to be a Confluence admin.
The site must already be saved as Password, Atlassian, Google or Microsoft. A public site has no sessions to end.
You do not need this after changing access. Saving a new password, mode, domain list, organisation list or session length already signs everyone out.
#Steps
Open Capable, choose Sites, open your site, and select Settings, then the Access card.
Under Sessions, select Sign everyone out.
In Sign everyone out?, select Sign everyone out to confirm.
#What happens next
You see Everyone has been signed out. Visitors must sign in again. The next page a visitor opens takes them to the sign-in page.
If you see Too many access changes in the last hour. Visitors were not signed out; try again later., you have hit the hourly limit on access changes, shared across all your sites. Wait and try again.
