Everyone was signed out of my protected site at once
What you are seeing
Everyone who was signed in to your protected site was signed out at the same moment, and had to sign in again.
#Why it happens
Cause | What happened |

Someone saved an access change | Any change to who can get in ends every session, on purpose, so nobody keeps access the new rules would refuse. That includes a new mode, a new password, changed domains, accounts or organisations, and a new session length. |
An admin selected Sign everyone out | A Confluence admin can end every session from Settings > Access. It covers staging previews too. |
We updated how signing in works | Now and then a platform update ends existing sessions. It isn't something you or your visitors did. |
#What to do
Nothing to fix. Visitors just sign in again, and nothing is lost. If you need to know who changed Access, ask your Confluence admins and site collaborators.
