Excluding pages
To keep a page off your site, give it one of the labels below in Confluence. The page stops publishing from your next Update.
There's no per-page switch in Sites, and you can't set up your own exclude labels.
#The two labels
Label | Purpose |
|---|---|
capable-sites-exclude | The Capable label. Use this one. |
scroll-help-center-exclude-page | Also honoured, so content migrated from Scroll stays excluded. |
This is your only tool for keeping a page off a public site. Page restrictions do not stop publication. If a page must not be public, label it or move it out of the published space.
#What excluding does
The page isn't published, so it won't appear on your site or in its sitemap.
It takes effect on the next Update, like any other change.
Child pages aren't excluded automatically. Label each one.
#A few things worth knowing
Only the two labels above work. A label of your own won't keep a page off your site.
Remove the label and the page comes back on the next Update.
If you've already promoted your site, the excluded page stays on the promoted site until you promote again.
