Apply your brand colours to Confluence macros
To apply your brand colours to Confluence macros, a site administrator opens Global settings in the Macros sidebar, goes to Brand guidelines, adds a theme with your five brand colours and marks it as the default. New macros then start from that theme, and every colour picker offers your brand colours before anything else.
#Before you start
You must be a Confluence site administrator. Space administrators do not see Global settings.
Have your brand colours as hex codes, one each for background, text on background, surface, text and accent.
You can save up to eight themes.
#Steps
Open the app from Apps in the Confluence top bar: Capable Formatting, or Capable and then Macros in the suite.
In the sidebar, under Manage, choose Global settings.
Open the Brand guidelines tab and wait for your current settings to load.
Click Add theme, type a Theme name, and enter a hex code for Background, Text on background, Surface, Text and Accent.
Optionally set the theme's Corners, Shadow, Spacing, Alignment and Borders. Leave any on Auto to keep each macro's own default.
Click Set default on the theme new macros should use.
Decide whether to keep Allow custom colours on. Turn it off and editors can only pick from your themes.
Click Save changes.
#What happens next
New macros start from your default theme, and editors see your themes in the Themes menu at the top of a macro and on the Themes page in the Macros sidebar. Existing macros are not changed. Settings can take up to a minute to reach everyone.
If the tab shows Could not load macro branding., click Retry. The settings only become editable after a fresh read, so you never save over a change another administrator has just made.
