Page reference index

Every image that an Image reference macro points at is recorded against the page, in an 'Image References' field you can search with CQL. This is what powers the 'Used on Pages' panel.

Only Image reference macros feed this index, and only on licensed sites. It updates whenever the page changes.

Add a stock photo to the library	Images library → Stock images → search → drag a result onto a library folder
Put a single library image on a page	Editor → type / → 'Image reference (Capable)' (Suite) or 'Image reference macro (Capable)' (standalone)
Put a library image on a page by pasting a link	Editor → paste the image's Capable asset URL
