# Page reference index Every image an Image reference macro points at is recorded on the page under an 'Image References' field, exposed to CQL. That is what powers the 'Used on Pages' panel. --- ## Note It is populated only from the stored image id on Image reference macros in the page, by page-change triggers that are filtered to licensed sites. In non-production environments those triggers are dropped entirely unless a licence override is set. --- ## Where you do it | **Task** | **Where** | | ----------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Add a stock photo to the library | Images library → Stock images → search → drag a result onto a library folder | | Put a single library image on a page | Editor → type / → 'Image reference (Capable)' (Suite) or 'Image reference macro (Capable)' (standalone) | | Put a library image on a page by pasting a link | Editor → paste the image's Capable asset URL | --- ## Settings that affect this | **Setting** | **Where** | **What it does** | | -------------------------- | --------------------------- | ---------------- | | Global settings → Indexing | Capable settings → Indexing | \- | | Per-image actions | Image context menu | \- | --- ## Limits that apply here | **Limit** | **Value** | **What happens** | | ----------------------------- | ---------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Gallery live-tail window | 24 hours | The folder listing tops up the search index with a live read of the folder's newest children, but only for items created in the last 24 hours.
