I deleted a folder and the images that were in it are unaccounted for

#Why it happens

Deleting a folder deletes only the folder itself. Nothing checks what was inside it, and you are not shown a list of what is affected.

#What to do

Move the images out of the folder before you delete it. Also check any Image folder gallery macros that pointed at that folder. They will still be looking for a folder that no longer exists.

A 'Show more' button loads the next 25 while more remain.

Gallery recent-items window

24 hours

A folder gallery also picks up anything added in the last 24 hours, so new images show straight away. Older images appear as soon as they have been indexed.

Attached images. Accepted file extensions

Jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp, svg, webp, tif

AVIF, HEIC, ICO and JFIF attachments never appear. Generated thumbnails and Capable's own library images are left out too.
