Show an image gallery from a folder in Confluence
To show an image gallery from a folder in Confluence, insert the Image folder gallery (Capable) macro, choose the Library Scope and Folder, and pick a grid or table Layout. The gallery lists every image in that folder, stays in step as images are added, and lets readers click any image to download it.
#Before you start
You need permission to edit the page.
The images must be in a folder in a space or global library.
#Steps
Open the page in the editor, type /image folder gallery and choose Image folder gallery (Capable).
On the Content tab, choose the Library Scope: a space, or Global.
Choose the Folder.
Choose a Layout. For a grid, set Columns and Thumbnail Height.
On the Style tab, adjust the gap, corners, shadow, border and image fit if you like.
Close the panel and publish the page.
#What happens next
The page shows every image in the folder. Images added to the folder later appear automatically. Readers click a tile or row to download that file.
Quicker route: in the library, use Copy as macro on a folder and paste the link into the page. It turns into a gallery with the folder already chosen, using plainer default styling.
#If it does not work
It says No images in this folder. Check you picked the right scope and folder, and that the images are in that folder rather than at the top of the library.
The gallery is missing from a PDF or published site. Galleries are loaded live, so they do not carry into exports. Use plain images for content that must export.
