Image shows 'Sign in to view this image' to logged-out visitors, even though the image exists
What you are seeing
Readers who are not logged in see 'Sign in to view this image' where the picture should be, even though the image exists.
#Why it happens
The image is stored as a plain external URL, a link to a picture hosted somewhere else. Those are the only images that need a signed-in session to load, and a logged-out reader does not have one. Uploaded library files, Unsplash images and Confluence attachments all load directly and keep working for anonymous readers.
#What to do
Upload the image into the Capable library instead of linking to an external URL.
On the Suite, an admin can also approve the domain under Capable settings → Egress. This will not help anonymous readers, though. The approved-domains list only applies to signed-in users.
