What you are seeing

A published site shows 'This image could not be exported (download failed)' or '(content not found or no longer available)'

#Why it happens

Either the referenced image has neither a stored full-resolution attachment nor a thumbnail, or the reference points at an image owned by a different Capable app. The site exporter reads library images with the publishing app's own credentials, so a reference left behind by another app id resolves to nothing.

#What to do

Re-upload the image, or migrate the standalone library into the Suite so the reference points at an image the publishing app owns.
