Cannot turn Images off for a single space
What you are seeing
You cannot turn Images off for a single space.
#Why it happens
The Space settings screen only shows the Auto, Always and Never control for capabilities that can be pinned to the nav bar. Images cannot be pinned, so its row shows a read-only 'Available from Capable Menu' badge instead.
#What to do
There is no supported way to do this in the interface. The standalone byline does check for a per-space off switch, but nothing in the released product sets it.
#Settings involved
Setting | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
Global settings → Capabilities | Confluence admin → Apps → Capable → Settings → Capabilities | - |
Global settings → Asset access | Capable settings → Asset access | - |
Global settings → Egress | Capable settings → Egress | - |
#Limits that apply here
Limit | Value | What happens |
|---|---|---|
Gallery page size | 25 images per page | A 'Show more' button loads the next 25 while more remain. |
Attached images shown in the gallery: accepted file types | jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp, svg, webp, tif | AVIF, HEIC, ICO and JFIF attachments never appear. The gallery also leaves out the CAPABLEASSETSTORE space, generated thumbnails and Capable's own library images. |
