What you are seeing

You changed the permissions on Asset access for images, and the same change showed up for diagrams, markdown, calendar or search.

#Why it happens

All Capable global assets live together in one Confluence space and share one content type. There is no images-only permission, so a change to Asset access applies to all of them.

#What to do

This is expected. If you need finer control, keep the images that need different rules in a space library rather than the global one.
