Respond to Confluence approvals from Microsoft Teams

When Microsoft Teams approval actions is on, each Confluence approval request reaches you as a message from the Capable app in Microsoft Teams, with a comment box and Approve and Reject buttons. Add a comment if you want, choose a button, and Capable records your answer on the page exactly as if you had used Confluence.

A space that does not require an authenticator code

Teams cannot collect a code, so buttons are not offered there.

#Steps

  1. Open your chat with the Capable app in Microsoft Teams and find the request.

  2. Type a comment in Add a comment (optional) if you want one. Keep it under 500 characters.

  3. Select Approve or Reject.

  4. The card reads Recording your approval, then changes to show what you decided and when.

#What happens next

Your answer lands on the approval and in the page history like any other. Once the request is decided, Capable updates every approver's card so the buttons disappear and it shows the outcome.
