# Respond to Confluence approvals from Microsoft Teams 📝 Microsoft Teams support is coming soon. When **Microsoft Teams approval actions** is on, each Confluence approval request reaches you as a message from the Capable app in Microsoft Teams, with a comment box and **Approve** and **Reject** buttons. Add a comment if you want, choose a button, and Capable records your answer on the page exactly as if you had used Confluence. --- ## Before you start | **You need** | **Why** | | --------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Microsoft Teams connected for your Confluence site | See [Set up Microsoft Teams notifications for Confluence approvals](https://help.gocapable.com/approval/set-up-microsoft-teams-notifications-for-confluence-approvals.html). | | **Microsoft Teams approval actions** turned on | Without it, messages have a **View page** button instead. | | A space that does not require an authenticator code | Teams cannot collect a code, so buttons are not offered there. | --- ## Steps 1. Open your chat with the Capable app in Microsoft Teams and find the request. 2. Type a comment in **Add a comment (optional)** if you want one. Keep it under 500 characters. 3. Select **Approve** or **Reject**. 4. The card reads **Recording your approval**, then changes to show what you decided and when. --- ## What happens next Your answer lands on the approval and in the page history like any other. Once the request is decided, Capable updates every approver's card so the buttons disappear and it shows the outcome. --- ## If it does not work | **Message** | **What happened** | | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | This page changed since the request was sent, so your response was not applied | The page was edited and the review restarted. Answer on the page. | | You can no longer respond to this request | You were removed from the list, the request was withdrawn, or you lost access to the page. | | This request no longer needs your response | Enough people had already answered. | | Actions from Microsoft Teams are turned off for this site | An administrator turned off approval actions. Answer on the page. | | A newer copy of this request was sent to you | Answer from the latest message. | | Approvals are read-only for now | Your site is moving its approvals to Capable for Confluence. Answer on the page once the move is finished. | --- ## Related ### [Microsoft Teams](https://help.gocapable.com/approval/microsoft-teams.html) The full Microsoft Teams reference. ### [Respond to a request](https://help.gocapable.com/approval/respond-to-a-request.html) What each answer does. ### [Fix Microsoft Teams approval messages not arriving](https://help.gocapable.com/approval/fix-microsoft-teams-approval-messages-not-arriving.html) When nothing shows up. ### [Integrating Confluence approvals with Microsoft Teams](https://help.gocapable.com/approval/integrating-confluence-approvals-with-microsoft-teams.html) All Teams how-to guides. --- _Signed off without leaving the chat._
