See who approved a Confluence page and which version
To see who approved a Confluence page and which version they approved, select Approval under the page title and open the history. Each row shows the time, person, action, status change, comment and page version, and a padlock marks responses signed with an authenticator code. Nothing is ever removed.
#Before you start
You need | Why |
|---|---|
Permission to read the page | Signed-out readers see the status only, never the event list. |
#Steps
Select Approval under the page title.
Select the history icon.
The history is grouped into version cards. Each closed card is a finished round of review, kept exactly as it was.
Select the version link on a row to open that version of the page in Confluence.
For a controlled document, add the approval macro to the page with History as its display mode, so every reader sees the record without having to know where to click.
#Good to know
Answers from Slack and Microsoft Teams are recorded exactly like answers on the page.
Approvals moved from the standalone Capable Approval app carry an Imported badge.
Administrative changes, such as settings, team membership and authenticator resets, are not in the history.
For many pages at once, use Search and reporting. Only the history view shows the signed padlock.
