Find Confluence pages whose approval is about to expire
To find Confluence pages whose approval is about to expire, check the Expiring panel on the Approval dashboard, or open Expiring soon under Your approvals in the sidebar. For a standing report across a space or the whole site, build a Capable Search view sorted by Expires at.
#Before you start
You need | Why |
|---|---|
Expiry set on the approvals | Only approvals with an expiry ever come due. See Review Confluence pages on a schedule. |
Capable Search | For a report across spaces. Included in Capable for Confluence. |
#Steps
Open Capable, then Approval.
The Expiring panel covers a month back and a month ahead, so recently lapsed and about-to-lapse pages sit together.
For your own approvals, open Expiring soon or Expired under Your approvals in the sidebar.
In Capable Search, add the Expires at column, sort by it, and filter to the space you care about.
Use Copy CQL from the results menu to share the query with your team.
#Good to know
Expiry is checked once an hour, so a page can still show as approved for up to an hour after its date.
Rejected pages expire on the same schedule as approved ones.
Many quality teams run this as a standing report at a monthly review meeting.
