Choose where published Confluence pages land in the target space
To choose where published Confluence pages land, open Publishing Space settings and go to the Structure tab. Pick a Parent content page or leave it at the space root, choose Preserve hierarchy or Flatten to parent, decide whether the space homepage is included, check the Preview and save.
#Before you start
You are a space administrator of the source space.
Publishing is enabled and a target space is chosen on the Setup tab.
#Steps
Open the space and select Capable Publishing in the sidebar (in the Suite, Capable, then Publishing). Under Manage, select Space settings.
Select the Structure tab.
Under Parent content, choose a page in the target space, or leave it empty to publish at the space root.
Under Page structure, choose Preserve hierarchy to mirror the source tree, or Flatten to parent to put every page directly under the parent.
Under Space homepage, choose whether the source homepage is published as a page.
Check the Preview, then select Save. If pages are already published, choose Save and rebuild to move them to the new place.
#What happens next
New publishes follow the new layout straight away. With Preserve hierarchy, pages can be published in any order: a page whose parent is not published yet goes under its nearest published ancestor and moves under its parent once that is published. Pages someone moved by hand in the target space are never moved back.
