Approval
An app that ships both capabilities. The Suite, or the Capable Approval app. Publishing installed on its own can never be triggered by an approval.
#How
The only automatic publish trigger. When an approval reaches Approved with "Publish on approval" set, Approval queues the publish job with method "Approval" and passes the approving users, which appear as "Approved by" in the Publishing byline. "Publish approved pages" in the Maintenance tab uses Approval's data to select only approved pages. The Capable approval macro is stripped out of the published copy, so the target page does not carry the approval widget.
