What is not available
Every product has a shape people expect it to have, and this is where this one differs from that shape. Nothing here is coming in a particular release; it is simply not offered today.
The page exists so you can plan around it rather than spending an afternoon looking for a switch.
#Not available
Macros. Every surface is a byline panel, a space page, a global page, a space settings tab or a Confluence admin settings tab.
Scheduled or timed publishing (publish at a specific time). An unbuilt future idea in the internal design notes, with no code and no setting.
Same-space publishing, and the configurable suffix for published titles that would go with it.
Automatic publish-on-page-update (the "Automatic" method).
Clearing the source page's link when the published copy is deleted.
Any screen that shows the recorded "missing links". They are computed, stored and indexed, but no part of the app reads them.
A control for which content types may be published. The value exists in stored settings but appears in no settings tab, and its server-side enforcement is commented out.
A control for "publish as user". The fallback publish identity exists in the settings data and the server really uses it, but nothing anywhere writes it.
The "children" configuration (all / attachments / custom content). Present in the settings data and annotated "only here for future features", with no interface and no consumer.
A "publish rejected" search field.
Notifications of any kind. There is no email, Slack or in-product notification code in Publishing at all.
An unpublish or delete-the-copy action. No such action exists anywhere in the product.
Group-based allowed publishers. The list accepts individual users only.
Separate publishing queues. Despite the internal job names, there is exactly one background queue; bulk publish and maintenance are job types dispatched onto it, not separate queues. Do not describe them as two queues in customer-facing text.
None of this is a bug to report. If one of them blocks you, tell us: customer demand is what moves them.
#A few things worth knowing
If one of these is the reason you are evaluating the product, say so before you buy rather than after.
The list changes with each release, so check the release notes before assuming it still applies.
Where the app's own wording differs from this page, believe the app.
