What is not available
Every product has a shape people expect it to have, and this page covers where Capable Publishing differs. Nothing here is promised for a particular release; it is simply not offered today.
The page exists so you can plan around it rather than spending an afternoon looking for a switch.

Macros. Publishing has none. You work with it through the page byline panel, a Publishing space page, a global page, a space settings tab or a Confluence admin settings tab.
Scheduled or timed publishing (publishing at a specific time). It is an idea for the future, with no setting for it today.
Same-space publishing, and the configurable suffix for published titles that would go with it.
Automatic publish-on-page-update (the "Automatic" method).
Clearing the source page's link when the published copy is deleted.
Any screen that lists pages with missing links. Publishing keeps track of them behind the scenes, but nothing shows them to you.
A setting for which content types may be published.
A setting for "publish as user", the fallback user that publishing would run as.
A setting for publishing child content (all, attachments or custom content) alongside a page.
A "publish rejected" search field.
Notifications of any kind. Publishing sends no email, Slack or in-product notifications.
An unpublish or delete-the-copy action. There is no such action anywhere in the product.
Group-based allowed publishers. The list accepts individual users only.
Separate publishing queues. Bulk publishing and maintenance tasks share a single background queue.
None of this is a bug to report. If one of them blocks you, tell us: customer demand is what moves them.
#A few things worth knowing
If one of these is the reason you are evaluating the product, say so before you buy rather than after.
The list changes with each release, so check the release notes before assuming it still applies.
Where the app's own wording differs from this page, trust the app.
