The command palette
The palette is the fastest way around the product once you know what you are looking for. It searches capabilities, macros, your assets, and our help centre from one box.
It exists only in the suite. There is no hotkey and no menu item for it in a standalone app.
#Opening it
Press Command K, or Control K on Windows.
Or use the Capable menu item.
#What it searches
Group | What you get |
|---|---|
Capabilities | Jump straight to a capability |
Macros | Find a macro by name |
Assets | Diagrams, images and templates from the shared library |
Help articles | Our help centre, without leaving Confluence |
Help search deliberately hides some results. Anything about installing or uninstalling, and anything Jira-related, is filtered out, so a search for "install" returns less than you expect. Use the documentation directly for those.
#A few things worth knowing
Suite only. Nothing is mounted for it in standalone apps.
It is the quickest route to an asset when you cannot remember which capability owns it.
The palette searches names rather than page content. For content, use Capable Search.
