Connect Slack to Capable for Confluence
To connect Slack to Capable for Confluence, a Confluence site administrator opens Global settings, selects the Notifications tab and turns on the connect switch on the Slack card, then allows the Capable app in Slack. The connection covers the whole site, and approvers start getting Slack direct messages straight away.
#Before you start
You need to be a Confluence site administrator. Everyone else sees an Admin only badge instead of the switch.
You need permission to add apps to your Slack workspace.
People are matched by email, so their Slack and Confluence addresses should be the same.
#Steps
Open Global settings for Capable, or select Manage notifications in your Capable settings.
Select the Notifications tab.
On the Slack card, turn on the connect switch.
In Slack, review the permissions and select Allow.
Back in Confluence, check the Slack card shows Connected.
Optionally, turn on Slack approval actions so approvers can approve, reject or comment from the message.
#If it does not work
No switch on the card: you are not a site administrator, or the page has not confirmed it yet. Reload and try again.
One person gets nothing: check their Slack email matches their Confluence email, and that their own Slack switch is on.
Nobody gets anything: check Slack integration is on, on the same card.
