Installing the suite
Installation is the ordinary Marketplace flow and there is nothing you must configure before people can use the app. Macros appear in the picker immediately and the Capable byline appears on pages.
A few things do happen behind the scenes on install, and they are worth knowing about.
#What install does
One click, no mandatory setup. Installing creates a Confluence space called "Capable Asset Store" to hold user-uploaded assets, and prepares the storage the apps use. None of it needs anything from you. Example/showcase pages are created by the Asset Store space being created, so they can appear a moment after the app does.
A Confluence space called "Capable Asset Store" is created to hold assets people upload. It is part of the product, not something somebody made by accident.
#What to do next
An admin may hide capabilities globally, set per-space visibility, turn features on or off, connect Slack, approve external domains, and run a content re-index so search filters and "Auto" bylines populate.
Hide the capabilities you do not want, so the navigation and macro picker are shorter.
Set per-space visibility where a space only needs some of it.
Turn features on or off: email, AI, Slack.
Connect Slack if you want approval notifications there.
Approve any external domains your content needs.
Run a re-index so search filters and relevance-based bylines start working.
#Indexing
An hourly background job indexes pages so content data, quality reports and "show when relevant" bylines work. A large site takes hours to days to converge.
A large site takes hours to days to index.
#A few things worth knowing
Nothing about install is destructive, and nothing needs a maintenance window.
The asset store space is created automatically. Do not delete it.
Indexing is the reason a brand new install feels quieter than it will in a day's time.
