Uninstalling Capable for Confluence keeps its Confluence custom content: diagrams, Markdown documents, templates, saved searches and image libraries. It deletes everything the app holds in Atlassian Forge storage and Forge SQL, including approvals and their history, approval teams, calendar events, publishing and Sites history, and settings. Atlassian can restore that data for up to two weeks.

Why

A Confluence site administrator

Only administrators can uninstall apps.

A copy of anything you must keep

Approvals, approval history, teams and calendar events are deleted with the app. Export or record what you need first.

#Steps

  1. Uninstalling is not a troubleshooting step. It deletes approvals, approval history, teams, calendar events and settings.

  2. Export each calendar you want to keep with Export as iCal or Export as CSV from its Display & export options menu.

  3. Keep a record of any approval history you need for audits before you uninstall, and note the settings you rely on.

  4. Uninstall Capable for Confluence from Confluence's app management.

  5. If you had connected Slack, remove the Capable app from your Slack workspace too, if you no longer want it there.

Deleted.

Your Slack connection and everyone's notification switches

Kept by Capable for 30 days in case you reinstall, then deleted.

Calendar subscription feeds

Revoked at uninstall.

Published Sites

Taken down. This finishes a while after the uninstall.

#If you change your mind

Reinstall and your diagrams, documents, templates, saved searches and image libraries are there again, and the macros on your pages render as before. Data in Forge storage and Forge SQL can be restored by Atlassian for up to two weeks after the uninstall, so if you uninstalled by mistake, contact Capable support straight away. After two weeks it is gone for good.

Your content stays. Your approvals and events do not.
