Nothing on this site indexes and markdown counts stay empty.

#Why it happens

Markdown is only indexed when the app is licensed. On an unlicensed or evaluation site, indexing never starts.

Check that the app is licensed on this site.

Setting	Where	What it does
Markdown capability	Global settings → Capabilities → Markdown	Hiding Markdown removes it from the Capable navigation bar and the page byline menu across the site. It does not stop existing macros from rendering.
Space capability settings	Space settings → Space Capability Settings	Auto shows the byline entry only when the page already contains markdown. Always shows it on every page in that space. Never hides it there.
AI integration	Global settings → Features → AI integration	'Allow AI-powered features across Capable. Turn off to disable AI for all users.' Turning it off removes the Studio (Generate markdown with AI) section from the markdown catalogue.

Large document display	500,000 characters	Past this, the macro shows 'Large content detected. Rendering in scrollable mode.' and displays the document in a scrollable box, 1200 pixels high, instead of inline.
Very large documents	Over 500,000 characters	Only the part of the document you are viewing is drawn, which keeps long documents responsive.
Document size for Rovo and MCP tools	512 KB (524,288 characters)	Creating or updating a markdown document through Capable's tools is refused, not shortened, if it is larger than this. You'll be asked to split it up.
