What you are seeing

Images inside a markdown document show only their alt text. When you hover over one, a 'Sign in to view this image' tooltip appears.

#Why it happens

Some images can only be loaded for signed-in readers, and this reader isn't signed in. Images load for everyone when they come from a relative Confluence path, *.atlassian.net or *.atl-paas.net, the Capable CDN, images.unsplash.com, or a domain your admin has approved.

#What to do

Ask a Confluence admin to add the image's domain under Capable global settings → Egress. Or skip the problem and attach the image to the Confluence page instead.
