Limits
Capable tells you when you reach a limit, rather than failing silently. These are the numbers to plan around.

Document size through Capable's AI tools (MCP and Rovo) | 512 KB (524,288 characters) | Creating or updating a markdown document through the Capable tools is refused, not cut short, if it is larger. You are asked to split it. |
AI diagram repairs per generation | 3 | When AI generates a document, Capable checks and fixes only the first three diagrams. Any further diagrams, and diagrams in languages Capable can't fix (seven can be fixed), are left exactly as generated. |
Macro title and description length | 50 characters each | The 'Markdown title' and 'Markdown description' fields in the macro configuration, and the title field in the from-scratch editor, all stop at 50 characters. |
Library import length | Title 128 characters, description 250 characters | Dragging markdown from a page into the template library quietly shortens the copied title and description to fit. |
Version history entries | 50 | Beyond 50 versions the panel shows 'Limited to the last 50 entries'. |
Version list grouping | 15 seconds | Versions saved within 15 seconds of the previous one shown are hidden from the list, so rapid auto-saves don't flood it. Versions from migration are exempt. |
Image load timeout | 15 seconds | An image inside markdown that has not loaded in 15 seconds is replaced with '[Image load timed out: …]'. |
New macro retry window | 10 checks, 15 seconds apart (about 2.5 minutes) | If a document should exist but hasn't been indexed yet, a newly inserted macro checks every 15 seconds, up to 10 times, then stops. Macros you haven't set up yet don't check at all. |
New templates appearing in the library | Up to several seconds | After you create a template, Capable keeps checking until Confluence lists it, so a new template can take several seconds to appear. |
#A few things worth knowing
A limit that is reached is reported in the interface, not in a log you have to find.
Limits apply per site or per tenant, depending on the limit.
Your edition can change some of these.
