Fix heading capitalisation and language issues in one click
To fix heading capitalisation or language issues on a Confluence page, open the Quality item in the page byline and select Fix next to the finding. Capable Quality rewrites the page and saves a new version straight away. Only capitalisation, inappropriate language and non-inclusive language findings can be fixed this way.
#Before you start
You need | Why |
|---|---|
Capable Quality, or the Capable Suite on the Advanced edition | Quality is part of Capable Quality for Confluence and the Advanced edition of the Capable Suite. |
Edit permission on the page | Fixing, dismissing and restoring change the page, so they need edit permission. |
A finding that can be fixed | Heading capitalization, Inappropriate language or Non-inclusive language. Other rules have no Fix. |
#Steps
Open the page and select the Quality item in the byline.
Under Findings, select the rule to see exactly which headings or words are affected.
Select Apply fix in the detail view, or Fix on the finding's row in the list.
The page reloads with the change made. Look over it, and use the page history if you want the old wording back.
#What each fix does
Finding | What the fix changes |
|---|---|
Heading capitalization | Rewrites headings in the style set on the Rules page: Sentence case, Title Case (AP Stylebook) or Title Case (Chicago Manual of Style). |
Non-inclusive language | Replaces each term with its suggested alternative. |
Inappropriate language | Removes the words. It does not mask them. |
The new version is saved with the message Quality: Fixed and the rule name. There is no preview and no undo inside Quality, so restore an earlier version from the page history if you need to.
