See the most viewed pages in a Confluence space

To see the most viewed pages in a Confluence space, open the space, select Google Analytics in the space sidebar, and open the Content tab. Pick 7d, 30d or 90d, or set your own dates. The table lists the space's pages with their views, and selecting a row opens that page's detail.

#Before you start

#Steps

  1. Go to the space.

  2. In the space sidebar, under Apps, select Google Analytics.

  3. Select the Content tab.

  4. Choose 7d, 30d or 90d at the top, or type a start and end date.

  5. Select a row to see that page's trend, then Open in Confluence to go to the page.

#What happens next

Use the filters next to the tabs to narrow the list, for example to guests only or to views on a published site. Each filter appears once the custom dimension behind it is synced. For a list that stays on a page, add the Google Analytics macro with the Content view and the space selected.

#If it does not work

  • The table is empty on a new setup: Google takes up to 48 hours to process new data.

  • Some rows have no title: the page was deleted, or you cannot see it in Confluence. Titles are looked up with your own permissions.
