Turn off Google Analytics reports in Confluence
To turn off Google Analytics reports in Confluence, open the Google Analytics configuration page, tick Turn off Google Analytics reports in Confluence under Other options, and select Save configuration. The report pages, the Page analytics panel and the macro stop showing data. Page views keep flowing to Google Analytics.
#Before you start
You are a Confluence administrator.
Decide whether you want to hide reports only, or stop sending data to Google too. The steps differ.
#Steps
Open Confluence Settings and select Google Analytics.
Scroll to Other options.
Tick Turn off Google Analytics reports in Confluence.
Select Save configuration.
#What happens next
The Google Analytics entries stay in the Confluence menus, but anyone who opens them, and any page with the macro, sees Google Analytics reports are turned off for this site. Untick the box and save to bring reports back.
To stop tracking as well, clear the Measurement ID under View tracking and select Save configuration. The save message confirms that no page views will be recorded. The server-side events for searches, comments and edits stop too, because they also need a measurement ID.
#If it does not work
Reports still show for someone: the change can take a minute or two to reach everyone. Reload the page.
You wanted only some people to lose access: use Who can view reports instead.
