Some report rows show a bare page id instead of a title

What you are seeing

Some report rows show a bare page id instead of a title.

#Why it happens

Report data comes from Google keyed on page id, and titles are looked up separately using the viewer's own Confluence access. If the viewer cannot see the page, or it was deleted, the title cannot be resolved.

#What to do

Expected behaviour. Note that this means row counts themselves are not filtered by the viewer's Confluence permissions, only the titles are. Use Allowed groups if that matters, and leave the Raw paths panel off.

What it does

Connect Google Analytics / Disconnect

Settings > Apps > Google Analytics > Connect Google

Starts a Google sign-in popup. The connection is site-level: one admin connects once and the whole Confluence site uses it. Disconnect revokes access at Google and deletes the stored tokens.

GA4 property

Settings > Apps > Google Analytics > Connect Google

Which GA4 property the in-Confluence reports read from. Also scopes the data stream, API secret and custom dimension controls.

Measurement ID

Settings > Apps > Google Analytics > View tracking

The GA4 tag ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX). This is the single required setting: nothing is collected anywhere until it is set.

#A few things that catch people out

  • There are no space-level settings. The space reports page is a view only; everything is configured once for the whole site.
