Nothing is collected anywhere after a licence lapse
What you are seeing
Nothing is collected anywhere after a licence lapse.
#Why it happens
Licence enforcement is active in production. An unlicensed site gets no measurement ID back in readers' browsers, server-side events are skipped, and published-site snippets stop too.
#What to do
Restore the app licence in the Atlassian admin. Collection resumes on its own, subject to the usual caching delay.
#Settings involved
Setting | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
Measurement ID | Settings > Apps > Google Analytics > View tracking | The GA4 tag ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX). This is the single required setting: nothing is collected anywhere until it is set. |
Custom dimensions (GA4) - Sync / Refresh | Settings > Apps > Google Analytics > Enhanced tracking | Creates the app's 14 custom dimensions in your GA4 property. Five are required (space key, hashed account id, content id, content type, content version) and back the core reports; nine are optional and each unlocks a rep |
Cookie consent popup | Capable Sites > the site > Settings > Integrations | Shows a cookie banner on the published site and blocks all analytics scripts until the visitor clicks Accept. |
#Limits that apply here
Limit | Value | What happens |
|---|---|---|
Measurement ID format | - | Universal Analytics IDs are accepted by the settings field but collect nothing anywhere. |
