Let readers edit a Smartsheet from a Confluence page
To let readers edit a Smartsheet from a Confluence page, choose Editable sheet under How readers see the sheet in the Smartsheet macro and select Apply. The app publishes the sheet with editing turned on and embeds it. Anyone who has the publish link can then edit the sheet, even outside Confluence, so use it with care.
#Before you start
An editable publish link is not limited to your Confluence readers. Anyone with the link can change the sheet. Use Interactive table if readers only need to look.
You are logged in to Smartsheet in the macro, with permission to change the sheet's publishing. See Who may change sharing.
Your Smartsheet administrator allows sheet publishing.
#Steps
Edit the page and insert or open the Smartsheet macro.
Choose the sheet under Your sheets, or paste its link.
Under How readers see the sheet, choose Editable sheet.
Select Apply. The notice confirms Published with editing enabled.
Publish the page.
#What happens next
Readers edit the sheet inside the page, and changes save to Smartsheet straight away. If the sheet already had an edit link, the macro reuses it and nothing changes in Smartsheet.
To withdraw editing later, see Stop sharing a published Smartsheet link from Confluence.
#If it does not work
Your Smartsheet admin has turned off sheet publishing: ask them, or use Interactive table. See this troubleshooting page.
Could not publish this sheet: publish it in Smartsheet and paste the publish link into Publish or sheet URL instead.
