Search cards macro
Cards suit a landing page where a table would look like a report. Same saved search, same visibility rules, different presentation.
Use it where the result set is small and the point is to invite a click.

Setting | What it changes |

Search cards (Capable) / Search cards macro (Capable) | Shows a saved search as cards. Same visibility rules as the table macro. |
Page Size | How many results the macro fetches from Confluence. On the table macro, this is the number of rows per page. On cards, it only sets how many results are fetched. Cards always show 12 per page. |
Background | The card's fill colour. When you set it, the text colour adjusts automatically to stay readable, near-black on light fills and near-white on dark ones. Set Text if you'd rather choose it yourself. |
Text | The card's text colour. It's only used while it stays readable against the surface behind the card, with at least 3:1 contrast. If it drops below that, the macro quietly switches to the automatic near-black or near-white colour instead. |
Accent | Adds a thin coloured bar down the left edge of every card. |
Corner radius | How rounded the card corners are. Also rounds the top of the cover image. |
Gap | The space between cards. The grid shows one to four columns depending on screen width. |
Shadow | How deep the card's shadow is. Cards always lift to a larger shadow when you hover over them, whatever you choose here. |
Border | When off, cards keep their default thin border. When on, the width and colour you set replace it entirely. |
Show excerpt | Adds a short plain-text preview under the card title, up to three lines, taken from Confluence's own search excerpt. |

#A few things worth knowing
Cards show fewer fields than a table, so pick a saved search that still makes sense without the extra columns.
