What you are seeing

I cannot choose a different branch in the Browse GitHub picker.

#Why it happens

There is no branch picker in the Confluence file browser. The branch list is fetched but the result is discarded; the branch is only ever set from the repository's default branch or from a parsed URL.

#What to do

Paste a GitHub URL that names the branch you want, which sets the branch from the URL.
