# Cannot choose a different branch in the Browse GitHub picker

**What you are seeing**

I cannot choose a different branch in the Browse GitHub picker.

The picker opens on a list of repositories drawn from every connected account, with filters for account, organisation and visibility above it.

## Why it happens

There is no branch picker in the Confluence file browser. The branch list is fetched but the result is discarded; the branch is only ever set from the repository's default branch or from a parsed URL.

## What to do

Paste a GitHub URL that names the branch you want, which sets the branch from the URL.
