What you are seeing

An admin cannot find any PDF settings.

#Why it happens

There are none. The standalone app's PDF Gallery admin page contains only the Introduction panel, there are no space settings, and in the Suite the capability cannot be toggled off because it is macro-only.

#What to do

Configure everything per macro in the page editor. Point admins at the macro's own options rather than the admin area.

Attachment picker size

The Existing Page Attachment dropdown lists at most the first 250 attachments on the page. There is no search or paging, so a PDF beyond that cannot be picked.

1 to the document's page count

If the config panel cannot read the document (bad address, permission failure, upload still in flight), the only selectable height is 1.

#A few things that catch people out

  • Approving the PDF's host under the Suite's Egress settings can break the embed rather than help it, because the file is then fetched directly by the browser and most PDF hosts refuse that.

  • The standalone app's PDF Gallery admin page contains only the Introduction panel. There are no PDF settings anywhere in the admin area.

  • There are no space-level settings for PDF Embed.
