Roll back a Confluence macro migration

To roll back a Capable migration, open the Migration tab, select Repair, upload the log you downloaded from that run, and use the Roll back pages card. Capable restores each page to the version before its "Migrated by Capable" edit, as a new page version. Roll back one page and check it before the rest.

#Before you start

  • You need the log from that exact run, downloaded from the run screen. Rollback refuses a log from a different site.

  • Keep the app you migrated away from installed if you want its macros to render again.

  • Rollback restores page content only. Capable assets the run created stay in place.

#Steps

  1. Open Confluence settings, find your Capable app and open the Migration tab.

  2. Select Repair.

  3. Select Upload migration log and choose the log from the run you want to undo.

  4. On the Roll back pages card, select Analyze and wait for each page to be classified.

  5. Select Roll back on one page, then open that page and check it.

  6. Select Roll back remaining pages.

#If it does not work

  • Log not usable for rollback: the file is missing the run window or the changed pages. Use the log downloaded at the end of the run.

  • Site mismatch: the log belongs to another Confluence site.

  • Edited after migration: someone changed the page since the run, so it is skipped unless you choose to include it.

  • Bulk rollback is locked: roll back and check one page first.

Nothing is deleted. Every step is a new version.
